CURRICULUM COORDINATOR, MATHEMATICS

Emma graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in mathematics and economics in 2011. She then went on to study mathematics in graduate school at Dartmouth College. She received a Master’s degree in mathematics with a focus on Riemannian geometry from Dartmouth in 2013. She loved the teaching experiences that she had at Dartmouth and decided to dedicate herself to teaching. Emma came to Wasatch in the summer of 2014. She currently teaches Pre-calculus, and AP Statistics. Emma is an innovative teacher, who uses cutting edge research to drive her instruction. Recently she led the charge in flipping the classroom so that math students could receive more feedback during class periods.  Emma was awarded Best of State Teacher of the Year Award in 2017. Despite being a native New Englander, Emma loves living in Utah and can often be found exploring all the wilderness that the west has to offer.
